We're delighted to announce the dates and details for this year’s football festival to be held at Amersham Town FC, School Lane, Amersham, HP7 0EJ.
“This year we've invited Westwood Park FC to join us, making this a celebration of local football, bringing the whole community together” adds Aaron Overy, Chairman of KCA FC. “We’ll run 10 pitches for 8 hours, playing over 100 matches”.
Plans are already in progress as the club brings more of a festival feel to the day. Chiltern Voice Radio will broadcast live from the football festival for the day. There will be plenty of opportunity for young footballers to get involved with interviews, commentary and more.
The festival will also feature live music with Dr Challoner’s Grammar School rock band Crows and Arrows booked to perform a set, with the crowd taking their straw bale seats.
There will be a large bouncy castle which is free to use and Quirk of Amersham will run a sweets, smoothie, candy floss and chocolate fountain stand.
In the clubhouse the bar will be open all day serving tea, coffee, sweet treats and alcohol. Here you’ll also find the kit room, a place to bring along unwanted football boots and kit and take some kit home, all for free.
There are opportunities for local businesses to get involved. This could be sponsoring the event, taking a stand or donating a prize for the raffle and/or auction. This is great exposure from an anticipated crowd of around 1,500 across the day plus the local media coverage.
